There are three main methods for forming RBSIC reaction bonded silicon carbide ceamic, the most commonly used being casting, which involves configuring and mixing the slurry of RBSIC silicon carbide, and then pouring the slurry into the prepared mold for molding. Another method of forming RBSIC Silicon carbide ceramic is extrusion molding, which prepares the material into a mud like shape and then extrudes each piece into a mold. Another method of forming RBSIC wear-resistant is dry pressing, which prepares dry powder silicon carbide and then presses it into shape using a mold on a press.
